Range Rover: Holland & Holland

British gunsmiths Holland & Holland have teamed up with fellow Royal Warrant holders Jaguar Range Rover to produce a very special limited edition

Founded in 1835, Holland & Holland is renowned the world over a master maker of guns and rifles. This heritage has provided the perfect base for the British company to diversify its offering and transform into a luxury goods brand that includes this customisation of another iconic classic – the Range Rover.

Drawing on the two brand’s strengths and client bases, this collaboration of Royal Warrant holders (companies that supply goods and services to the British Royal Family) culminates in a bespoke vehicle proving poplular with hunting and shooting enthusiasts around the world.

“The Holland & Holland Range Rover is a result of a collaboration we have with our partner Jaguar Land Rover,” explains Shan Davies of Holland & Holland.

“Thanks to the skill and craftsmanship of the team at Special Vehicle Operations the new car combines the unrivalled off-road capability of the Range Rover with an extensive range of bespoke Holland & Holland brand features, many of which are recognisable from facets seen on our sporting guns. The Holland & Holland Range Rover is a celebration of British craftsmanship at its best.”

“Within the motor industry, our relationship with JLR is exclusive, but we also work with other luxury brands, including Dalmore Whisky and Pol Roger Champagne.”

At the moment, the Holland & Holland Range Rover is limited to 120 vehicles and P1 understands there has been considerable demand worldwide for the £180,000 (US$272,000) luxury off-roader.

On the outside, this special edition is instantly discernable from other Range Rovers, thanks to the unique Holland & Holland Green bodywork, mirrors and bonnet vent. The grille is painted in the same deep green and has chrome highlights. Holland & Holland badging can be found on the doors and tailgate.

Inside, the Range Rover Autobiography Black has been tailored to accommodate the lifestyle pursuits of Holland & Holland’s customers. The Executive Class seating package sees rear seat passengers enjoying adjustable seats and a re-designed centre console with electrically deployable walnut tables, integrated USB charging sockets, enhanced stowage and bespoke lighting.

In this Holland & Holland car, the interior is upholstered with the softest tan and espresso leather hides, with precision leather detailing including Holland & Holland embroidery on the front seats. This is complemented by the French walnut veneer, polished to resemble Holland & Holland gunstocks. The car’s woodwork is made from a single piece of walnut, 1500mm long by 500mm wide.

Internal door handles and intricately engraved, and fascia letterbox panels decorated with gunstock checkering, while the centre console panel is also inspired by Holland & Holland’s forend diamond design.
